THE RUNNER is a 9 screen multichannel film created in the context of a film workshop I gave in Vermont in 1991. It was an official selection of the 8E Biennale de L’Image en Mouvement (Centre Pour L’Image Contemporaine, Saint-Gervais, Geneve, Switzerland), in 1999. Based on a short story by James Tabor, THE RUNNER explores personal alienation and the havoc wrought by Corporate Capitalism and greed; examines various levels of violence in our society both personal and social; & explores their repercussions through multiplicity of color and sound and textual information. 54:49, 1991-1995.
COWARDS – Winner of “Best Experimental” at the New England Film and Video Festival, 2002. COWARDS is an intimate look at emotional and sexual abuse condensed through a moment in the life of a married couple trapped in an abusive relationship. Composed of multiple images & sounds which combine narrative with graphic psychic gestures derived from content, COWARDS breaks with traditional linear storytelling and points to a more complex and deeper exposition of meaning through layering and digital manipulation.
